How it works
Once a day, we read the tags that search engines and social networks take from your page:
<title>and meta description: the headline and snippet shown in search results;- Open Graph (
og:title,og:image): the title and image shown when the page is shared on social networks and in chat apps; <h1>: the main heading of the page;- viewport meta: without it, mobile browsers show a zoomed-out desktop page, and Google ranks the page lower on mobile;
<html lang>: the page's language, used by search engines and screen readers;- structured data: JSON-LD blocks must be valid JSON;
- hreflang: alternate language versions must exist and link back to this page.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| OK | Title, description, Open Graph, h1, viewport and lang are set. |
| Warning | Something is missing or invalid (the report lists it), or we could not connect. |
By default you are notified of failures only. This check never fails, so it only alerts you if you change its notification level.
